Flight Line
We put the "O" in AOT

Tuesday, Mar. 07, 2006 :: randomness ::

I get to drive over to the flight instrument overhaul shop again tomorrow, so I can wake up later! =) Work was fast and slow... The snap-on guy stopped by today and asked if I was still looking to buy a tool box. Haha, day late and a dollar short buddy, but I did order a pair of dykes (wire cutters). I found my "ghosts war birds" calendar so I could write down something going on next week. The calendar has little tid bits of history for everyday of the year. Today, in 1944, 600 heavy bommers dropped 1,600 tons of bombs in first major attack on Berlin. whoa huh.
Since I've been out of school for 2 months and I easn't involved in band my last semester of school, I haven't been keeping up on the women's bball team who I found just fell short of winning the big ten title to Ohio State by 3 points. I have the dates for the March madness games, so I hope to be able to catch those. Hm, what else. The dealership where I got my truck is hosting a "New Vehicle Owners Clinic", so I figure I might attend... it's something to do, haha. There's gonna be door prizes, woowoo! I've been planning out this "quizzy" like thing (it's a spoof, don't take it seriously), but it's just the way I picture/observe things... so we'll see how I do.

HOW DOES YOUR DRIVING REPRESENT YOURSELF?
think of your daily driving. just like if you were driving down to the corner store for a gallon of milk. Do you...
1. drive with one hand firmly planted at the Apex of the wheel.
2. drive with hands at the 9 and 3 position (which is safer than the 10 and 2 position if you have airbags).
3. drive with one hand resting on the lowest part of the wheel
4. drive with hands stuck through the wheel
5. drive with arm resting on window ledge and holding the steering wheel with two or three fingers
6. drive with your knees
7. drive with your hands on the center "beams"

selest your corresponding number and read the corresponding number below for my interpretation.

1. you live life in and drive in the fast lane constantly. life is typically busy and there isn't enough hours in the day. you're still looking for the right direction to go.
2.you are cautious and normally think twice about turning out in front of that oncoming truck. you aren't the one to take chances and you are normally are thinking three steps ahead.
3. you are comfortable with where you are in life. the outside world doesn't bother you and you have confidence in where you are heading.
4. you are a bit spacey. your head tends to be in the clouds. you weave back in forth in your lane like you do in life. you have trouble making decisions the effect your life.
5.life is what happens when you are making plans. but that doesn't bother you one bit. you're ready for anything.
6. you have very little consideration for others. it's all about you and what you're doing. you think you know what you're doing...
7. you don't follow the "norm" but you like yourself and you are set in your ways.

there ya go! remember, it's not real... please don't take offense if you don't like my representation of you ;)

Monday, Mar. 06, 2006 :: absolute nothin ::

hm, monday. we all know how mondays go. the first day back to work after a weekend that only seemed to last 5 hours. and i had to stay an extra half hour because i left early on friday. nothing exciting happened today. i got to install an ELT (emergency location transmitter) or something like that. it starts to transmit when it feels a good THUD in the forward position (a crash) not a vertical thud (like landing). i also helped inspect a 182 which the exhaust sytsem is worn to shit and dented all up. the dents cause a restriction in the exhaust air flow and can cause hot spots in the metal. Anyhow, i am finally remembering to post the pics of the pitts aerobatic plane and my new roll around tool box.
