ok, picture this... its about 4pm, the sun is just setting over the hangar to the west, hanging out under a 737, watching a newer 737 taxi in, a slight tinge of burned jet A from the APU still lingering in the air... Yep it was a good day. Even better when one of the students everyone lovingly calls Spaz, haha, got a brief APU oil shower, hehehe. I will need to smack the AM ramp manager though because he doesn't know which side on the airplane is left or right (it's determined by pilot's point of view, btw). Yes, we do use port and starboard as well, but this person confused left/right even... We were finishing up the lubrication of the flaps today. The left wing panel still havent come off so we had another group of three working on the panels. The screws were so well stuck that it actually broke the tip off of one of the snap-on screwdrivers. The prof even got out his impact screwdriver and seriously beat on the stuck screw, but it wasn't budging. We still couldn't find any strong drill bits, so we just moves on and said the left side would not be able to be lubricated. I was talking to another professor and found out that prof Thom has a pinched nerve in his back and a sore back, the poor guy! I hadn't seen him today, but Prof Stanley said he had a neck brace on today.
